The MIS Group are proud to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation

The MIS Group recognises the importance of the environment and the impact that we have upon it. One of our key objectives focuses on the environmental impact of our activities, products, and services, so that we can continually improve our environmental impact.

Where possible we ‘look local’ and seek to recruit and source products and supplies locally to reduce our carbon footprint. Being able to source products in this way, we feel can have a large impact on our sustainability aims. The MIS Group tries to always maintain good environmental policies and to encourage recycling, minimising of carbon footprint and generally adopt good socially responsible environmental practices.

Andrew McLaughlin, Managing Director at the MIS Group (3)Andrew McLaughlin, Managing Director of the MIS Group said, “The MIS Group have been going through an ISO 14001 audit. This is an environmental ISO standard that we are introducing because we have a moral duty to protect the environment. For anyone that has been to the office recently, you will see signs of the increasing presence within the office environment.”

What is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system and can be accredited to. It maps out a framework that a company or organisation can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. It can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.

The MIS Group are proud to have achieved ISO 14001 accreditation and we will maintain and implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO14001. Read our Sustainability Policy here which outlines our Carbon Reduction Plan.
